The earlier you start couples therapy, the better. This is because the relationship patterns and the couple’s dynamics are still fresh. When it comes to couples therapy, the earlier you go, the better.
Good communication is the key to improving your relationship and maintaining a healthy partnership. During couples therapy, you will learn how to effectively communicate with your partner. Although you might be an excellent communicator in business, effectively communicating in a relationship is a skill that you is learned and practiced. Essentially, couples therapy helps couples resolve conflict, learn how to effectively communicate, better understand each other, enhance their emotional connection, and strengthen their bond.
I implement Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work with couples. Please click on the links below to learn more about the effectiveness of this couples therapy approach:

Immigration Evaluations –
Extreme and Exceptional Hardship for the I-601 and I-601A Waiver
In extreme and exceptional hardship cases, a citizen of the United States, or a legal permanent resident of the United States, is the spouse, fiancée, parent, or child of an individual who may be deported from the U.S. The United States citizen applies for a waiver on the basis that deportation would result in an extreme and exceptional hardship. Relevant factors in these cases include family relationships that would make it extraordinarily difficult for that person to leave the country. For example, a United States citizen may have a sick parent or sibling or be unable to make a living in the country to which his or her spouse would be deported. The U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident might himself or herself be under treatment for a medical condition which could not be as well treated outside of the United States. The children of the United States citizen or legal permanent resident might be far advanced in their education in this country, and unable to speak, read, or write in the language of the foreign country. In such cases, leaving the United States might represent a permanent bar to the completion of their education. In extreme and exceptional hardship cases, if one parent has to leave the United States, it can produce a separation anxiety disorder on the part of the child left behind. Some children, especially those who are very young and lack the emotional maturity to understand why a parent might have to leave the United States, might also develop a depressive disorder.
I work collaboratively with many immigration and criminal attorneys.
In addition, I complete Competency evaluations and provide expert testimony. I am a qualified expert witness in Broward and Miami-Dade.

Emotional Support Animals:
An emotional support animal (ESA) is a person’s pet that has been prescribed by a licensed psychologist to provide affection, comfort, and most importantly, minimize the symptoms of the person’s emotional/psychological disability.
According to the National Service Animal Registry, the legal protections an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) has are to: Fly with its emotionally or psychologically disabled handler in the cabin of an aircraft without being charged a pet fee. Qualify for no-pet housing (that also includes limited size, breed, or species housing) without being charged a pet fee.
As a licensed psychologist, I am able to provide the necessary documentation for my clients’ animal to qualify as an Emotional Support Animal. In addition to providing the documentation, I assist my clients through the Emotional Support Animal registry process. I believe that animals provide unconditional support and for many clients, they are an essential part of treatment. This is why I prescribe Emotional Support Animals for my clients. See Emotional Support Animal Page for more information.
I provide the necessary documentation and assist my clients through the process.
